A native of Govindi village in Godhra taluka of Panchmahal district, Mrs. Jashodaben Jagdishchandra Bariya is an inspiring personality in public life and politics. Jashodaben, who has studied up to T. Y. B.A., has been associated with agriculture, business and especially social service for years.

Political journey and contribution in the field of Panchayat

Her political career began as a disciplined worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the year 2005, she worked as a member on the general women seat in Daraniya Taluka Panchayat for 5 years. During this period, she held important positions like President of Bakshi Panch Morcha and Taluka Vice-President. Due to her activism, she was also elected to the Jafrabad Taluka Panchayat seat in 2010.

Jashodaben's experience is not limited to the Panchayat alone, but she has also done significant work at the district level:

In the field of education: Served as the chairman of the education committee of Panchmahal District Panchayat for 2.5 years.

Organizational strength: Served as the president of the Godhra Taluka Mahila Sahakari Kshetre Morcha for two terms.

Leadership: Served as a member and whip of Sapa District Panchayat from 2015 to 2020.

Social responsibility and vision

Jashodaben believes that true development is possible only through the upliftment of women at the rural level. She is currently serving as a member of Govindi Taluka Panchayat since 2020. Her family also has a legacy of service, with family members also serving as Sarpanch.

Her main goal is to empower the women of Godhra Taluka economically and socially. As a women's representative, she is always ready to give voice to the issues of sisters and give them a respectable place in society.
